Below, are some of the GIS projects I've done in the past.
Software I used: ArcGIS Map, ArcGIS Pro (main), and Photoshop.
Suitability analysis is one of the most useful analysis; for instance, this analysis allows me or the city planners to know where to remove or place new bike-share hubs in a city. Note that this analysis can adapt to many types of objects, such as planning a coffee shop. Path distance or least-cost analysis will be another useful one for emergency responders; for instance, when a backcountry hiker got lost in a forest and seek help; then a GIS technician will need to find the least-cost path for emergency responders. Looking at Census data, one of the useful skills is to join tables from different datasets to one dataset and perform analysis later. Future, I'd like to learn more analysis skills through real-world applications.
