Undergrad Research Assistant for Dr. Carolyn Fish - (07/2022 - 09/2022)
In this role, I am making maps for Dr. Carolyn Fish and Dr. Johnny Ryan. My work is to create some maps of ephemeral features; specifically, an area of Greenland with sea ice. Working independently, I got to sharpen cartography skills (e.g. acquiring satellite data and making maps based on that) and troubleshooting skills. This project is still ongoing, I expect to gain more skills from this time forward.

Voluteer Experience
Over the years, I've volunteered more than 200 hours in different locations. To me, it is a great way to get involved in different communities, and learn from each other. One of my greatest volunteer experiences was volunteering as a photographer at a church event when I was in high school during the Easter egg hunts. Parents guided their kids to hunt those eggs, and my job was photographing them throughout the time. After I submitted my photos to the event supervisor, she was shocked and appreciated me for photographing the event; most importantly, she was so grateful that she saw photos of her daughter and her grandkid at this event. Note that I face new people every time, but I can always adapt to work with others. After this volunteer opportunity, my adaptability skill gets better, and that's something I can apply to my future jobs.
